New 52x speed CD-ROM drive - $50.00
100 pack of CD-Rs - $20.00
Burning a new cd for the car before you finish picking out earings - priceless

I've had the cd burner for a while, but I haven't really used it till now. Initially I got it because I wanted to take some of the work off of my dvd burner. Now my cd burner roxxors because it's much faster and quieter. It (and a ram upgrade) will probably be the last thing I add to this computer. It's over 3 years old and has been upgraded about as much as it can be. I worry for my motherboard, so I've started backing up all of my files. I even picked up an 80g external HD for a temp fix while I get things cleaned out. Hopefully I won't need it though. ^_^ I don't plan on getting a new computer till 1) I pay off the upgrades and 2) a new processor comes out. I got my current baby when the P4 just entered the market. I'd like to have timing like that again. Either way it's going to be a least a year or two out. Besides, my sweetie workes fine for what I need. She'll end up working beside the new one as a helper. I'll even get her a new monitor 'cus I luvz her!!! *gush!*

I was accidently fashionable today. Since I don't have to work at Lowe's tonight and because I shaved my legs I decided to wear a skirt. Long story short I apparently picked a combo of colors that not only looks good on me, but is 'it' for the summer. Go me and my bargin shopping! Honestly, my outfit cost no more than $30. Woop!

Barry said we might go EVP tonight. Yay! I haven't done it before so I'm really looking forward to it. Then again, I'm always happy when I get to lurk around a graveyard with him in the dead of night...I'm such a perv.

Oh... my Omoekane is something like four... she's a Pentium III, and (knock on formica) still working well.

I was quoted $499 for a new Pentium IV with the works, 512 megs of RAM, a 160-gig hard drive (woot!!) and etc. etc. Next question: How much WITHOUT the operating system? Knock $100 off that.

Tempting, but at the moment Omoekane's got all the speed and memory I need.

That's not a bad deal. I'd pick it up if I had the cash. Then again, I'd also want to get a new monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. I'm a total accessory whore...

My current keyboard is one of those Microsoft ergonomic models, and the mouse is a laser/wheel Intellimouse, also Microsoft. (Their software may be crud, but their hardware rocks.) No way in hell would I replace those unless they broke down.

Then there's this (http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/6764) ultimate computer. Sugoi, ne? It's a monster, as it stands about the same height as a wardrobe cupboard. Water cooled, FOUR processors, TWO motherboards, etc etc. Quiet, too - no moving parts, no fans or motors.
