I decided that since my gym membership is up, I want to use the $40 extra a month on things I like. So, I upgraded my net connection as well as my Netflix account.

The easy:
Netflix took only a few minutes to upgrade. I now am on the 2 DVD plan with a Blu-Ray upgrade. Woot!

The f'ing hard!!:
I signed into my bellsouth/at&t/"whatever the hell they are today" account, followed the links to change my account, and did so. On the old plan I was paying $60 for residential line, forced long distance (bastards), and DSL lite (because it's not right if it's not misspelled). After upgrading the DSL line to holycrapomgfastbuuuuutnotasgoodascable, my bill was only $7 more. Buh whu? I think that they're not telling me about some ass fee that won't pop up until my next bill. It wouldn't surprise me. I just have to make sure they aren't charging me that damn $5 a month 'networking' fee. I'm expecting around $80. We really get screwed around here...I would kill for real TV and a nice net con. *sigh* This is what I get in exchange for cheap rent.

So anyway, I'm supposed to have my new connection running by Monday. Couldn't be before the weekend, could it? Nope! *sigh* At least it'll be active before Christmas. I still don't know what half the stuff they've got listed is. I'll probably end up calling and talking to someone who clearly isn't American, or at least doesn't speak English as a first language. Gotta love free trade! *goes to piss in someone's corn flakes just to share the Holiday Spirit*

Sweet, then I'm dropping it. I don't need it because I always use my cell for out of state calls. It's cheaper my a long shot, plus I hate surprises on my bill.

Oops, missed your reply.

Long distance can also be the town next to you (this would be the local toll) so you may want to check on what your local calling area is...

That's a list of exchanges that are local for charleston. You can get a more specific one if you put your exchange in (843 = area code, next three #'s are the exchange)...

Charleston can be confusing. I think the state only has 2-3 area codes.
