morganskye: (Dazzling Choro)
BUT FIRST! Does anyone have or have access to a programmable adhesive vinyl cutter? I'm not sure if Cricut is programmable, and I know there are some out there that are but I don't know their names. Basically I'm looking to pay someone for time and materials to get exact cut-outs of some Mass Effect and Sailor Moon symbols for a project.

I set my alarm 10 minutes early today so that I could make a salad for lunch. Usually I'm too lazy, but with my plateau I need to get my diet ON. What's funny though is that I didn't use my time to make lunch. Instead I ended up unconsciously doing some of my old girly things. I put lotion on my legs, mousse in my hair, and other assorted things. I feel pretty :) No worries about lunch though, I still had time to pack my salad fixings. I'll assemble them here at work. Huh, sounds like the start of a lame Avengers joke...

Note: Before reading the following please know this. I have faith, but I don't believe in organized religious for many many reasons. I'm also not attaching religion, just their ass-backwards way of dealing with present day. If you're religious then Rock On. Live and Let Live. :)

I listen to Public Radio when I'm in the car because I'm secretly a hipster because I don't watch the news on TV. This morning they were talking about how churches were upset that employees of religious schools were deemed 'not religious enough' to be exempt from the Birth Control health regulation. So now they're complaining about how it's not fair that they have to offer insurance that covers birth control.

Somebody call the Waaambulance.

Ok, here's my thing. Just because something is there doesn't mean you have to use it. Just because chocolate cake is in the kitchen doesn't mean you have to eat it. Just because something is on sale doesn't mean you have to buy it. Just because a bro is popping his collar and being a douche doesn't mean you have to slap him....Strike that. Yes you do. Anyway, my point is that they need to stop complaining. Using birth control is a personal choice, much like religion. If it's against your beliefs then cool. No one is forcing you to use it. However a business doesn't have the right to pick and choose the laws it follows. And please don't tell me The Church isn't a business because it is (and REALLY don't get me started on the tax exempt BS). They should be doing the same thing every other business needs to do. Who says that everyone who works for a church, church run school, or any other church facility is a practicing member of their religion? So why does The Church think it's ok to make decisions for people who might not follow their teachings? What are the odds that a church happens to have everyone is needs to run in their congregation?

Wooh, got pretty ranty there. Sorry. ^_^ I don't actually expect The Church to suddenly change it's ways and *gasp* let people make their own choices, but it felt good to get that off my chest. I'm so totally glad that my BC will be covered soon. YAY! GO WOMEN'S HEALTH!
